Lionel Messi Makes A Major Achievement As Argentina Defeat Brazil

Lionel Messi has ended the wait to win his first major international title.

Argentina victory's over Brazil in the Copa America final in Maracana stadium in Rio made the difference for Messi.

Messi, age 34, fell to the ground in joy when the referee blew his whistle for full-time.

His team mates rushed to him and lifted him from the ground in celebration of his victory after 10 major tournaments with no victory.

This victory also helped to end Argentina's 28-year wait since the last time they won any competition.

Messi was awarded as the player of the tournament after the scoring four goals in the competition.

However, Angel di Maria's goal was the match winner as he made a super lob, after a beautiful pass from Rodrigo de Paul.

Messi had a chance to score another one, but he fell to the ground, otherwise it would have been the peferct finale for the Argentina captain.

Defending champions, Brazil didn't play well at all. The only good chances they created was when Richarlison and Gabriel Barbosa forced Emi Martinez into action.

Messi opposite number 10 and former Barcelona team-mate, Neymar knelt down to the ground, and began to cry when the match ended.
