Manchester United will take on Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in the UCL tonigh, with a host of changes expected from Ole. Here is the predicted line up, with Edison Cavani expected to feature in place of off-colour Martial, and Pogba to be benched again.
The Turkish side defeated Manchester United in the last round of matches to claim their first ever win in UEFA's top club competition. Ole will however look to make amends this time by getting an outright win over their opponents tonight to maintain their status as group leaders, ahead of crucial encounters against PSG and RB Leipzig.
In attack, Anthony Martial has been off-colour lately, as he's seriously struggling in front of goal this term. Given this is a must-win game for United, Ole should reasonably give Uruguayan goal machine Edison Cavani his first start in a United shirt. El Matador leading the line from the off for United will bring a genuine goal threat to United's attacking play. With Rashford and Mason Greenwood expected to flank him.
In midfield, creative hub, Bruno Fernandes is expected to play in front of two sitters, with the regulars in the role this season being Mc Tominay and Fred. Dutchman, Van De Been could however be given a rare start in place of Fred tonight, to add more urgency to United's play.
With the defence expected to be the usual regulars of Maguire, Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Brazilian left back Alex Telles continuing in placed of the injured Luke Shaw. It however remains to be seen if Ole will restore Dean Henderson to man the posts just like in the last match, or bring in the more experienced David De Gea in a crucial encounter like this. Although, it feels as though the Spaniard will get the nod.
