The Reds have finally broken their jinx this season by wining the title after thirty years wait and now face more challenge next season. Manchester City were the pace setters as they successfully defended the title they won three seasons ago. Jurgen Klopps might aim to follow in Pep Guardiola's footsteps.Liverpool won the premier league with six games to spare and are currently leading by 18 points gab.
The Job is not done as Liverpool will be hoping to retain the title and also challenge for the UEFA Champions League next season. To achieve that, Liverpool would've to reinforce their squad but the current pandemic has put a financial strain on Klopps ability to do so. That's one the reason the Reds missed out on Timo Werner and Chelsea took the advantage.
Jurgen Klopps will have to let go some deadwoods to create space for new signings with Adam Lallana joining Leicester City, here are other three players that should follow suit.
1. Dejan Lovren, Defender -31yrs
The Croatian international is the fourth choice centre back option for Klopps. He has struggled for game time this season. Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Vigil Van Dijk remain the first choice centre backs and are more younger than him. He should be shipped out to create space for rumoured Napoli Centre Back Kalidou Koulibaly.
2.Naby Keita, Midfielder - 25yrs
Naby Keita has been inconsistent since arriving from RB Leipzig in 2018. He has managed only 681 minutes on the pitch across all competition this season.
The 25-year-old still has a long career ahead of him and Liverpool might decides to catch in on him considering the imminent in coming of Thiago Alcantara.. or probably use the proceeds on a defender. Young Harry Wilson can take Keita's place. Wilson was a mainstay under Frank Lampard at Derby County in 2018 and has been spectacular for Bournemouth this season.
3. Divock Origi, Striker -25yrs
The Belgium international would have hoped for more opportunity after his sterling competitions in the Champions League wining campaign. Instead he has lost his place to Oxlade Chamberlain who has been preferred to him in the attack. After five seasons at Anfield, Origi will leave with a Champions League and a Premier League medal as he has been targeted by lots of teams abroad and in the Premier League.
