Anthony Joshua has shown that he is ready and willing to learn something new as he tours boxing gyms in America for a new coach, his loss to Usyk has already taught him that he needs to learn more and it has opened his eyes to new things and skills that he wasn't even taught since he started boxing.
This shows his willingness to learn although Anthony Joshua shows that he is an open minded individual when he saw that american boxing was different from europen boxing, when he went to America to learn a new way of beating Usyk.
Anything new that he learns from his American trainer could mean that we would see a different Anthony Joshua from the one we saw the night that he fought Usyk but there is a problem with that. Due to his European boxing fundamentals, Anthony Joshua may not be able to adapt fast enough to the American way of boxing.
Anthony Joshua's boxing style has always been the aggressive type, always trying to bulldoze his opponents while paying little attention to defense. This is more or less like an instinctual pattern and he may not be able to change it that easily.
Taking a look at all the greatest American boxers in history from Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and down to Floyd Mayweather. These boxers were trained from the beginning to have impenetrable defenses and that became a part of their instincts which is more oriented towards the science of boxing itself which is to hit and not get hit.
American boxing is more focused on defense, so Anthony Joshua getting an american trainer may do him more harm than good if it contradicts with his style and also he cannot adapt especially the kind of trainer that once trained heavyweight great Mike Tyson.
