Why Paulo Dybala is unlucky despite playing with Messi at Argentina and Ronaldo at Juventus

The debate about who is the greatest Player of all-time between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is one the longest debate in football, and it does not seem like it is going to end anytime soon.

Although, one would have thought that the argument would have been put to bed after Lionel Messi won his 6th Ballon D'or award but the argument is still pretty much alive. In the end, it depends on who you like most between the duo.

The two of them are Goalscorers. Their job on the pitch is to find Means to exploit the loopholes in the defense setup of their opponents or to create such loophole if one doesn't exist.

This goes to prove that many Defenders and Goalkeepers won't really be a Fan of the duo. They have had to do that alone or with some Players that have gotten lucky to play with them. Some Players are even lucky to have played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and have gotten a front seat to witness the greatness of the duo.

Players like Paulo Dybala, Angel Di Maria, Nelson Semedo, Deco, Gonzalo Higuain, Gerard Pique and Carlos Tevez have played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

These players will count themselves lucky because of the opportunity they got. While other Players will be talking about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi from distance, the Players that has played with both of them will be able to talk more about them because they were once their teammates.

While many of them will be Happy to have been opportune to play with the two Football geniuses. However, Paulo Dybala could have a different story to narrate. He's one of the handful of Players to have played with both Ronaldo and Messi. He plays with Lionel Messi for the Argentina National team and with Ronaldo at Juventus.

Paulo Dybala's natural role is at the Central forward or as a supporting Striker but he had to be moved out of position when Ronaldo joined Juventus. Last season, Paulo Dybala missed 13 league matches because of Injury. He was named in the starting squad just for 14 Matches and had to remained on the bench for another 4 Matches while coming on as a substitute 6 times.

During the 2019/20 Season, Paulo Dybala played 5 different roles just so there could be a spot for Ronaldo in Juventus starting lineup. He played in the Central forward, Attacking Midfield, right wing, left wing and supporting Striker.

Paulo Dybala was invited by Argentina National team Coach Lionel Scaloni to represent the Argentines in their triple-header World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela, Brazil and Bolivia.

Paulo Dybala came on as a second half substitute against Venezuela during Argentina's 3-1 victory over their opponents. Paulo Dybala's appearance for Argentina against Venezuela last Friday was his first appearance in almost 2 years for the Seleccion of Argentina. His Injury didn't help his selection for the Argentine squad but playing in the same position as Lionel Messi didn't help him either.

Lionel Messi made an admission about this three years ago. In a publication published by Tribuna in 2018, Lionel Messi, while speaking to Fox Sport said: "Paulo and I talked about that, what he said is true. For Juventus, he plays the same role as I do. With me in the National team, he plays further out on the left, which he's not use to."
