3 greatest attacking trios in football history

Football has seen some great attackers as well as trios over the years. Football has also seen some of the greatest talents and deadly trios defining, driving and helping their team to success.

3. BBC - Bale Benzema Ronaldo 

The BBC trio are Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. The trio took Real Madrid back to Spanish and European glory. 

In 2014, the trio bagged 97 goals in their first campaign together and led the Los Blancos to four Champions League titles, of which includes three back-to-back victories. 

The trio was unstoppable, tearing any defense it come across. 

2. MSN - Messi Suarez Neymar 

This trio, comprising Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar was arguably the best attacking trio of their time. Forming one of the deadliest partnership in football, MSN netted 122 goals in a single season and also broke the record by scoring 131 goals the following season. 

The trio teared up defenses with their dribbling skills, talents and pace. The trio led Barcelona to La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League victories. 

1. RRR - Rivaldo Ronaldo Ronaldinho

The three R's are comprised of Brazilian superstars Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo. The trio won the 2002 edition of the World Cup held in Korea/Japan and showed the world how deadly they could be. They dribbled their way past any defense in the tournament.

The three attackers scored a combined 15 goals in seven games for the Selecao during the world cup. Also, the trio led Brazil to the 1999 Copa America victory, scoring 11 goals in six games.
