Ezinne Okparaebo is a 33-year-old Norwegian professional athlete of Igbo descent who specializes in track and field events.

Ezinne was born on March 3, 1988, in Imo State, Nigeria, and moved to Norway with her family when she was nine years old. She was raised in Ammerud, Norway, where talent scouts saw her athletic prowess during a sports school day.

At the age of 17, Okparaebo shocked the Norwegian sprinting community when he became the country's top sprinter in 2005. This year was her first time competing in the Youth Olympics, and she finished third in the 100-meter dash. It was also same year that she won Norway's national championship gold medal in the 100-meter sprint.

There have been other international honors for the Norwegian sprinter since then, including silver at the 2009 European Indoor Championships in Turin, Italy, gold at the 2012 IAAF Diamond League in Oslo, Norway, and a gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.

Ezinne presently holds the Norwegian record for fastest female athlete. She is the holder of the Norwegian national 60- and 100-meter records and the 13-time winner of the 100-meter nationals.

Igbo woman Chiamaka and Igbo sister Angelica are both athletes.
