WCQ: Nigeria expected lineup against Central African Republic

Nigeria will have the chance to seal a World Cup spot in Qatar if they can get the wins in their two-legged fixture against Central African Republic during this international break.

The Super Eagles started their World Cup qualification on a good note with wins against Liberia and Cape Verde. Wins against Central African Republic, who haven't won any of their last 5 games, will go a long way in helping Gernot Rohr's men qualify for next year's tournament.

Players like Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and Oghenekaro Etebo are all missing in the Super Eagles squad due to injury, but Rohr still has enough quality players that can deliver on Thursday and Sunday.

Maduka Okoye will likely start in goal with William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun as the centre-backs in a 4-3-3 formation. Ola Aina and Jamilu Collins are expected to start as the full-backs.

Ndidi's absence will be a concern for Rohr, especially when there are few midfielders available. But Innocent Bonke can fit into Ndidi's position in midfield after impressing in his last game for Nigeria against Cape Verde. Joe Aribo and Frank Onyeka could complete the midfield.

There is no much to worry about in attack as Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho are both available, and can be supported by the in form Moses Simon.
