Why NFF should approach Dani Alves likened right-back who plays for Arsenal to choose Nigeria.

Arsenal youngster, Daniel Oyegoke is one of the most promising Nigeria descent players making waves in the Hale End academy.

The youngster was called up to the England U17 squad in September 2019 but had to withdraw because of an existing injury.

However, the youngster is likened to former Barcelona right-back, Dani Alves because of his style of play and the ability to join the attack.

Except for his ability to join the attack from his full-back situation, Daniel Oyegoke has also received praise for his dynamism and ability to play several positions.

The Nigeria descent player is also blessed with an impressive ability to put in quality crosses into the box for the striker to head inside the box.

Ever since the exit of former CSKA Moscow full-back, Chidi Odiah in the Super Eagles squad, Nigeria has struggled to find a quality full-back who can attack and also defend effectively.

Former Golden Eaglet captain, Musa Muhammad was meant to fill the void left by Odiah in the Super Eagles squad but his growth in Europe has not been effectively managed.

Although the likes of Ola Aina and Abdullahi Shehu have done well in recent years for Nigeria the excitement that comes with having an energetic full-back is still missing in the Eagles squad.

In order for Nigerians to have the youngster play for Nigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation NFF must convince him to switch allegiance and play for the West Africa playing nation.

While it is believed that the quality of the youngster is enough for the football governing body to approach him and try to convince him to play for Nigeria ahead of England.
