Manchester City and Belgian international have been rewarded with a new contract that will see him stay in the club for more than 4 years.
The Belgian international joined the Manchester club six years ago from Wolfsburg in Germany and has won several club throphies like the English premier league, Community shield, the FA cup and the League Cup.
Manchester City defeated Dortmund in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League by 2:1 with Kelvin Debruyne scoring the first goal and also providing the assist for the second goal.
Debruyne is the current Manchester City Captain in absence of Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero in the team.
The former Chelsea player won the Premier league player of the year award in 2019/20 season for his brilliant performance all through the season.
Debruyne currently have 65 goals and 101 assist for Manchester City and he is the current highest assist maker for a single season in the English premier league.
According to reports, Real Madrid were monitoring the Belgian international but with his new contract, it means that the Spanish International will look for another alternative.
