Wilfred Ndidi Voted MVP As Super Eagles Hunt Crocodiles In Lagos

Leicester City Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was voted as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the final Group L match of the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers between Nigeria and Lesotho.


Gernot Rohr and his wards maintained their unbeaten run as they claimed another emphatic win in a pulsating encounter decided at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos State.


The Super Eagles of Nigeria finished off the AFCON 2021 qualifying series with a resounding 3-0 victory the Crocodile courtesy of a goal each  from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu.

After the emphatic victory, Napoli forward, Osimhen who scored a goal and assisted the second goal of the day scored by Oghenekaro

 was voted man of the match and was given N1,000,000.


Ndidi on the other hand was voted as the Most Valuable Player of the game and was also presented a cash prize of N1,000,000 donated by one of the Nigeria Football Federation sponsors.


Nigeria ended the AFCON qualifiers campaign in Lagos with 14 points from  six games as they claimed the first spot on the Group L table.

Up next for the Super Eagles will be the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers which will start in two months time.
