Son of former Super Eagles goalkeeper wins first league title and sets a record in the process.

Son of former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Aiyenugba has won the maiden edition of the Kwara Youth League with his academy team, Kwara Football Academy (KFA).

Kwara Football Academy U-15 team defeated SC Primisport Lasora U-15 by 1-0 to win the first edition of the tournament in Ilorin.

The only goal of the game came from KFA left-back, Shamsudeen Ishiaq in the thirteenth minute of the contest.

After the victory, Daniel Aiyenugba was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament because he did not concede any goal in the tournament.

All the goals conceded by the Sky Blue Dragons were let-in by the second choice, Kolo Samson.

The father of Daniel, Dele Aiyenugba is currently playing for Kwara United and was in attendance to watch his son win his first league title.

Dele Aiyenugba started his career with the Harmony Boys before moving to Enyimba FC where he won two CAF Champions League titles and was invited to the Nigerian national team camp.

He played seventeen times for the Super Eagles between 2005-2015.
