Paul Scholes And Some Footballers Who Came Out Of Retirement

Like many sports, on multiple occasions, footballers have come out of retirement for different reasons.

(1)Paul Scholes:

At 37-years-old, Paul retired from Manchester United, but 6 months later, the club was in the midst of an injury crisis, the crisis was so bad that they had to play Phil Jones and Fabio in central midfield.

Paul returned at the Manchester derby and helped his team to get a win, just one season later, he won his 11th premier league title.

(2)P. Cech:

This player last played for Arsenal in the 2018-19 season, but last year he was signed as a backup goalkeeper. According to Chelsea, it was a precautionary step due to the unprecedented conditions currently caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

(3)Johan Cruyff:

During an interview, Johan stated the reason he came out of retirement "I had lost millions in pig-farming and that was the reason I decided to become a footballer again." (Source: Scotland Herald).

(4)Zinedine Zidane:

Zidane retired from the International game after they lost to Greece in the Euro, but when France got into the 2006 World Cup, they begged Zidane to return, and after the World Cup he retired.
