Opinion: How Lionel Messi can emulate Ronaldo to improve his goalscoring record at PSG.

The Former Barcelona skipper has been struggling for form since he completed a move to PSG this summer. Considering the quality of players at the French club, it is the belief of many people that Messi will hit the ground running at his new club straightaway, however, after playing three games, he is yet to score or assist a goal in the club's color. To make matter worse, he was replaced in their encounter with Lyon during the weekend when the game is still tied, afterwards, it was revealed that he has bruises on his knee, which will rule him out of action for the time being.

Ronaldo on the other hand has had a transition from Juventus to Manchester United. He has scored at least a goal in each of his three appearances for the club on his second return. Despite missing the first three games of the new season, Ronaldo now sit at second position on the list of Premier League top scorer this season. Considering the fact that Ronaldo has played in different league and performed, whereas Messi is just playing outside Barcelona for the first time in his career, we will look at one thing about Ronaldo which Messi can emulate to improve his scoring record.

While many might find it absurd because Messi on his own is regarded as the best player, it should be noted that one could easily learn from a rival who has succeeded where someone is failing to achieve success again. Before his 30th birthday, Ronaldo's record in terms of goals is not that huge. However, over the past six years, no one can match his goal scoring records. One thing that has helped Ronaldo thus far is the fact that he changed his game pattern from being an explosive winger who often dribbles, to just a goal machine.

Nowadays, Ronaldo is a fox in the box who guarantee goals anywhere he plays; however, such is not the case with Messi who always drop deep in games to create chances and yet still try to score goals. In my opinion, if Messi can emulate Ronaldo and become a proper number nine, which I believe he has all what he takes to succeed there, he could improve his returns for PSG and had a successful career with the French club.

Considering the fact that he has injured his knee now, he might not be able to do too much of running when he returns, therefore, emulating Ronaldo might be the best options for him now.
