The Norwegian star did not feature in NY international tournament this summer, but his goal scoring records will not be forgotten by the Ballon d'Or voters.

#8 Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese star bagged 5 goals in 4 matches before his side was eliminated in the Euros. He won the EURO 2020 Golden Boot award and would be a top contender if he finishes 2021 with a more stellar performance.

#7 Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgium midfield maestro is no doubt arguably the best midfielder in the world. Although, his hopes of winning an international trophy would have to wait after being knocked out by European Champions, Italy in the quarter-final

#3 Jorginho

The Italian midfielder became the 10th player to win both the Euros and the Champions League in the same year. He could win the Ballon d'Or just as Modric did in 2018.

#2 Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski exitted the Euros at an early stage but had a brilliant 2020/21 season with Bayern Munich and that could help him in claiming the prestigious award. The Bayern Munich superstar is the second highest goal contributor in 2021
