Check Out Eduoard Mendy's Position On The Clean Sheet Charts After Chelsea Won 1-0

Chelsea remains top of the English Premier League table after a hard-fought victory over Brentford. The Blues managed to seal a 1-0 victory away from home thanks to one man - Eduoard Mendy.

In what was a crunchy tackle, the Blues had to defend deep to secure a slim victory. Ben Chilwell gave Chelsea the lead in the first half, scoring his third goal of the season, but it was Mendy who stole the show.

The Chelsea shot-stopper put up a Man of the Match performance with saves upon saves to deny Brentford. In total, Mendy made 6 saves and 3 clearances in the match.

Since joining last season, Mendy has proved to be one of the best goalkeepers in world football at the moment and his performance today only justifies that claim.

Not conceding today means he adds another clean sheet to his tally and also moves up on the Golden Glove race. Mendy currently occupies the second position with four clean sheets so far.

Mendy's main opposition for the Golden Glove is Man City's Ederson Moraes who beat him to the award last season and currently tops the list.

After seeing Mendy's performance today, the question of why he didn't make the nominees for Ballon d'Or, rises again.

Can Eduoard Mendy win the EPL Golden Glove this time around?
