Super Eagles of Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa was outstanding for Fatih Karagumruk football club on Friday night, as he guided them to a remarkable 3-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir FC in the week 8 of the Turkish Super Lig.
The former Leicester City football club star was given another starting role by coach Canel and he was able to impress in the game.
Ahmed Musa started in his team's attack alongside Aleksandar Pesic and Yann Karamoh and the trio were superb for the host.
The host took the lead through a fine goal from Italian star Andrea Bertolacci in the 19th minutes and he doubled the lead in the 30th minutes through an assist from Ahmed Musa before Jure Balkovec made it 3-0 in the 37th minutes to end the first half 3-0.
Substitute Danijel Aleksic scored the consolation goal for the away team in the 84th minutes to end the match 3-1 in favour of the host.
Ahmed Musa was outstanding for the home team throughout the entire duration of the game, and he was able to mark his excellent performance with an assist.
The victory over Istanbul Basaksehir FC has now taken Fatih Karagumruk football club to the 5th spot of the Turkish Super Lig table with 14 points from 8 matches played.
