Why CAF Has To Punish The Host Fans For Their Illegal Use Of Lasers In The WAFCON Semi-Final Game

It's gradually becoming a traditional thing for the North African countries to use lasers on the opposition teams. The likes of Egypt have done this so many times in the past. Senegal fans also inculcated this habit as well. This is majorly seen in men football but now it has been moved to the female football.

From the first minute of the game between Morocco and Nigeria, the Morocco fans had already started to use lasers on Nigeria players. When Morocco got a free kick, a laser beam flickered at Chiamaka Nnadozie's face.

During the penalty shoot-out as well. The five Nigeria penalty takers and their goalkeeper suffered from this wrongful use of lasers from the Moroccan fans.

This gives African football a wrong image and perception about the game. CAF has to stand up against this act and punish the host fans to avoid this kind of occurrence again in football. Nigeria lost through penalties yesterday but no respect was shown to them by the Morocco fans.
