Super Eagles: How Yisa Sofoluwe passed away in Luth

Yisa Sofoluwe was born on December 22, 1967 and played for Nigeria as a catcher.

He reportedly played on the left side between 1983 and 1988, as well as the 1984 and 1988 Nation's Cup.

Sofoluwe was the gold medal for Nigeria during the time, he Appeared for Nigerian football 40 times during his career.

Sofoluwe has also played for Abiola Babes in Abeokuta, IICC of Ibadan and Gateway Abeokuta.

Earlier, it was reported that the senior footballer fell ill and received treatment at LUTH Hospital.

One of his friends, Waidi Akanni explained that they were trying to raise enough money, to pay for the surgery but the peanuts did not work.

According to reports, the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs on Wednesday afternoon, took steps to help Sofoluwe talk to his state governor about financial matters.

The minister also sent money to help with his treatment, but he did not stop the operation and was bitten by an ants.
