Catalan giants, Barcelona have now publicly made their plans known to the world. This is to give a complete upgrade to the club's facilities. In that line, the Camp Nou and the Espai Barca will be especially involved.
The final decision to be reached will heavily depend on the referendum to be held by the club. However, the intent of the Catalans is clear and it is to take situation on an 18-hectare plot in the centre of the city to the next level. The club wants to have new offices constructed, together with a hotel. Construction of new facilities which include an ice rink and urban development in the surrounding areas are also on the plan.
The new campus of the club will be integrated into the complex. The aim is to have the biggest sports and entertainment space around in whole of Europe.
Barcelona bounced back over the weekend from their recent string of poor performances with a 3:1 league win over perennial rivals, Valencia, with Dutch winger Memphis Delay the hero. Ansu Fati and Coutinho were the other scorers in the game.
