Leeds United played the final game of Gameweek 23 in the English Premier League as Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford netted in either half as the Whites beat the Eagles 2-0 to climb into the English Premier League’s top ten (10).
Jack Harrison’s deflected effort gave the Whites a good start and Patrick Bamford tucked home a rebound for his twelveth Premier League goal of the campaign early in the 2nd half.
The Whites secured their tenth top-flight victory of the campaign and got a sweet revenge for a 4-1 loss at Selhurst Park in November. Leeds United should've won by a bigger margin after wasting many opportunities, but registered a first clean sheet in 7 games this year.
Crystal Palace, who arrived in freezing West Yorkshire on the back of 2 consecutive league victories, were a clear 2nd best for most of the game.
Eberechi Eze’s individual brilliance was too fleeting to stop a Leeds dominance, while the Eagles lacked a cutting edge in the absence of injured Star Man Wilfried Zaha.
The Whites were quick to punish Crystal Palace for giving so much space on the edge of the penalty box when Harrison’s shot came off Ex-Chelsea defender Gary Cahill to give Leeds a 3rd-minute advantage.
