Zimbabwe national football team head coach, Zdravko Logarusic has disclosed that he has blocked some numbers of some players of the national team. Zimbabwe have secured qualification for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations which is set to be hosted by Cameroon between January and February 2022.
Zimbabwe secured a 1-0 victory away from home against Botswana last week to seal their spot in the AFCON 2022. Zimbabwe are currently in second position in Group H of the AFCON qualifiers, 3 points adrift of Algeria who currently tops the group. Botswana and Zambia are in third and fourth position respectively with 4 points each.
Zimbabwe will host Zambia on Monday in their last AFCON qualifying match. Zimbabwe head coach, Zdravko Logarusic while addressing a press conference ahead of AFCON qualifier fixture against Zambia on Monday at the National Sports Stadium, he disclosed that some Zimbabwean players who play in South Africa and Europe ignored his calls when the country needed them and now that they have qualified for AFCON 2022, they are now calling him but he has blocked them.
He further added that what he is looking for in a player is character, commitment and then talents.
