Real Madrid versus Barcelona FC match called El Classico, of April 10, 2021, was superb as it was not a dull moment for all football lovers. No doubt, one can say the play was an encore! With the 2-1 goal win, Real Madrid top the Spanish La Liga table with 66 points at least for 24 hours pending the Athletico Madrid game against Real Betis on Sunday.
After the match, Real Madrid Coach, Zinedine Zidane said it was a very complicated game. As reported by BBC, he was quoted as saying "I feel very happy. We started the game very well. It was a very complicated match overall, but it was a deserved victory. I think we could have scored a third goal, but it's an important win. We did our job today."
Unfortunately for Lionel Messi, he could not score on Saturday, which makes it his seventh game in El Classico without a goal. It was since May 2018 had he managed to score against Real Madrid, almost 1000 days ago, which is the longest in his professional career. Is this Messi's last El Classico for Barcelona FC? We await the end of the season to know if he will renew his contract for the club.
Who do you think should be blamed for Barcelona's loss on Saturday: the coach who used the wrong formation or the players? Let me have your view.
