"We are so happy about the result. It wasn't easy looking at the quality of Orlando Pirates," an emotional Fatai Osho remarked at a World Press Conference.
"We had to work extra hard for the result. The players deserves lot of commendation for their resilience that they can get it done."
The former Remo Stars tactician praised the quality of Pirates and resilience of his wards.
"We can start looking at the knockout phase, not taking anything away from Pirates they gave us a great match.
On his team's low conversion rate, he said, 'It has been like that for something, we have really tried to get it better. Going forward we can actually get better in that area."
"In everything we do, the aim is to get better. We lost in th quarter final last season. The aim is to get better this time around."
With the game looking like ending in a draw, Osho threw the trio of Tosin Omoyele, Samad Kadiri and Ozor Felix into the fray.
"We noticed some tiredness on the part of the Pirates defence. We needed people with a bit of force, that's why Tosin Omoyele and Samad Kadiri came on. In midfield, Ozor is a bit quicker than Dare. He gave us something different with the passes. The boys got it right," the ex Crown FC coach concluded.
After qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup Quarter-Finals, Enyimba will turn their attention to the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday.
