Veteran Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins has rejoined Shanghai Shenhua, the Chinese FA Cup victors said on Wednesday, over a long time since his last serious match.
The 35-year-old previous Inter Milan and Newcastle United forward was without a club a year ago as he fought a hamstring injury.
His last game was in April 2018 for Chinese Super League side Shenhua, for whom he scored 32 objectives in 59 matches during his past spell.
Shenhua didn't state to what extent Martins' new agreement is for yet he replaces individual Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo, who is on credit at Manchester United.
Martins, who turns 36 in October, hit 18 objectives in 42 appearances for Nigeria previously resigning from national obligation.
Shenhua will open the deferred CSL season on July 25 against Fabio Cannavaro's ruling victors Guangzhou Evergrande.
The Chinese Super League is commencing five months late as a result of corona virus.
