Can Cristiano Ronaldo Win Another Ballon d'Or Award At Manchester United?

Cristiano Ronaldo is back to Old Trafford where success began for him in football. During his first spell at Manchester United, the Portugese International won many things for the first time and one of them happened to be the Ballon d'or, an award he won in 2008 at the age of 22.

Suffice to say that the Ballon d'or is the most coveted individual prize as it confers on the recipient the honor of being recognized as the world footballer of the year. After winning his first Ballon d'or accolade in 2008 as a Manchester United player, Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid and there he added four more Ballon d'or awards in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

Its been four years since he last received the award and he's clearly not the favorite this year having not won any major silverware at club or country. However, now that he's back to Old Trafford, can he add a sixth Ballon d'or to his award cabinet?.

Regardless of his age, Ronaldo has proven that he is not yet done with his football career, he recently became the all time men's International top scorer and is still looking sharp on the pitch for a 36 year old.

It goes without saying that it will require Manchester United winning the Premier league and the Champions league title for Ronaldo to land the Ballon d'or award again. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the squad, Ronaldo has the experience and there's no reason to believe that they cannot conquer England and Europe. The Portugese International is an ambitious player, he can keep going on in the pitch for two or three more years and as long as he is still active, he can't kill his desire to win.

Chances are Manchester United will lift major silverwares this season, but do you think Ronaldo can win another Ballon d'or award at his age?
