Two Chelsea players returned to full training ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brentford

N’Golo Kante and Reece James have returned to full training at Cobham after their absence from the squad a few weeks before the international break.

Recall that midfielder, N’Golo Kante tested positive for COVID-19 which has forced him into self-isolation since before the Champions League clash against Juventus. The France international was pictured in Blue’s training at Cobham on Tuesday along with some other players as preparation began for the match against Brentford this Saturday. The return of Kante will be a major boost for Chelsea this weekend looking at his performances for the blues. This is definitely great news for Chelsea fans.

Reece James picked up an ankle injury in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City a few weeks ago and as such missed the Champions League match against Juventus and EPL match against Southampton before the international break.

Despite his injury worries, James was called up to the England squad by head coach, Gareth Southgate but was later replaced by Ben Chilwell.

James call-up was a surprise to everybody including Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel and he expressed his surprise by saying;

“When I saw it, I thought that maybe Reece goes with the water polo team with England because right now he trains in the pool. I was quite surprised he was selected for the England football team. This will not happen as he is training in the poll right now”.

“My understanding from the last information is that he cannot go. It must be a misunderstanding, nothing else”, Tuchel said.

With this major injury boost for Chelsea, do you see the Blues getting the three points on Saturday?
