How Chelsea could line up against Norwich with no striker after injuries to Lukaku and Timo Werner

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is facing a striker shortage ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich.

Both record signings Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner have been ruled out after hobbling off injured in Chelsea's 4-0 Champions League win over Malmo on Wednesday.

Here is how Thomas tuchel side is expected to line up against Norwich.

1. Goalkeeper and defenders

Edouard Mendy (GK) - Mendy had a quiet evening against Malmo and will be looking for a similar performance here.

Cesar Azpilicueta (CB) - He's been impressive at right-back recently, but Azpilicueta should be able to return to his natural position at centre-back.

Andreas Christensen (CB) Christensen will be overjoyed after finally scoring his first Chelsea goal, and rightly so.

Antonio Rudiger (CB) - Shouldn't have started against Malmo, but he came through unscathed and appears to be free of his back injury.

Reece James (RWB) - James has returned from an ankle injury and is eager to get back into the starting lineup.

2. Midfielders and wing-backs

N'Golo Kante (CM) - After 65 minutes of solid play against Malmo, Kante looks refreshed and ready to start again here.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (CM) - It may seem harsh to drop Jorginho after he scored two penalties, but Loftus-Cheek has been outstanding in recent weeks and should be given the nod.

Ben Chilwell (LWB) - Chilwell put in another strong performance last time out and appears to have wrested control of the position from Marcos Alonso.

3. Forwards

Callum Hudson-Odoi (RW) With Werner out, there may be room on the left-wing for Hudson-Odoi, who will be hoping that this game will be a watershed moment in his career.

Kai Havertz (ST) - Chelsea returns to a false-nine with Havertz, who is short on numbers up top with Lukaku and Werner both out.

Mason Mount (LW) - Mount's energy on both sides of the ball was evident against Malmo, and Tuchel should not hesitate to stick with him here.
