Super Eagles Didn't Have My Jersey Size - Adebayo Akinfenwa, Nigerian Striker

Adebayo Akinfenwa, the Nigerian striker, who was born in England and plays for Wycombe Wanderers has disclosed his affection to play for the Super Eagles team and as he was unable to receive a call-up to play for Nigeria.


The 38 years old who is well-known for being the most powerful player in FIFA, his height is 1.85m and he weighs 102kg.

He came to be a hero this week for assisting his team to secure advancement to the Championship after winning Oxford United 2-1 in the one play-off final of the League.


Talking in a meeting with ESPN about the possibility of his international football career with Nigeria, Adebayo explained that when he was 21 years, he made an endeavor to play for Nigeria but he was not invited because there were several incredible strikers during that time.

The 38 years old striker further made fun of it by saying that "the Super Eagles did not have the size of his jersey due to his body."


Akinfenwa, Nigerian descent, who was born in London, spoke about his enthusiasm to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and illustrated that their first appearance World Cup in 1994, made him realize the importance of adopting the culture of his heritage.
