22 year-old Ronald Araujo may just turn out to be Barçelona's best player of the season, with his style of play and the amount of energy he puts into the team. He was literally the best player in the team, in their last two games (against Bayern and Granada). Barcelona needed a last minute equalizer against Granada on Monday, 20th September and the Uruguayan defender came through.
The Uruguayan has been tipped to become Puyol's successor in times of gloom. Despite the disappointing result, The Camp Nou fans, kept chanting his name, showing him how much they appreciate him.
Against Granada, he had a rating of 8.1 (he got this as a center-back), despite getting a yellow card, and conceding a goal. Araujo was never dribbled past all through the game and he scored a goal (could have scored another, but was saved). He made 81 touches, had 64 accurate passes, 94% pass accuracy, had 1 successful dribble, fired 2 shots on target, won 1/1 ground duels, 10/12 aeriel duels and recovered the ball 5 times.
