Man United reportedly close to selling its player for £14m

Smalling has dazzled on credit for the Italian club and they're excited about tying him to a permanent arrangement.

Manchester United are near to an arrangement to sell Chris Smalling for £14m to AS Roma inside the coming week, reports LaRoma24 (h/t Daily Express).

Despite the fact that Ed Woodward was at first requesting £25million to go separate ways with Smalling for all time, it appears as though the exchange charge has diminished essentially.

The 30-year-old centre-back has been a solid figure for the Italian club, showing up through the span of his advance spell.

Taking into account that Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire are Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's go-to guarded blending, it bodes well for Smalling to look for greener fields somewhere else.

Smalling has two years left on his agreement with United and it'll be interesting to perceive how the situation advances.

A few fans have reacted to respond to the post and here are some collection of some interesting remarks:

Timothy Wong

Always like Chris Smalling. He always give his best on the field. If he is happier at Roma, we will give our blessing and wish him best in the future. Proud to have him around.

Welcome development, its better he piles his trade where he is needed.
