Joan Laporta was elected as the president of Barcelona after the departure of Bartomeu from the club. He promised to make Lionel messi remain with the club if he got elected as the club's president. He was able to keep that promise and Lionel messi stayed at Barcelona although the playmaker is yet to sign a new deal with the club.
Laporta has told all Barcelona supporters to be calm and assured them that Lionel messi will soon sign a new deal with them alongside Ousmane Dembele who is now linked with another club. Liverpool are among the top clubs interested in signing the Barcelona winger.
It has now been reported that the Barcelona president is preparing to announce an agreement with a foreign investment fund that will bring 500M to the club. Laporta is calm because of something huge he has prepared. This would solve the financial difficulties the club is facing.
