Opinion: 2 Things Sergio Aguero Would Add To Barcelona's Frontline Next Season

Officially, the Blaugranas have signed the Pep Guardiola's man on a free transfer, and he will be at Camp Nou until June 2023. As, Joan Laporta continues to gather enough reinforcements ahead of next season, to be able to perform amazingly and outstandingly in all competitions.

Sergio Agüero obviously has all the required abilities and capabilities, to boost Barcelona's frontline especially playing along with the the team captain. However, there are many things the Argentine, can add to the squad performances in 2021-2022.

At the moment, the Ronald Koeman's men lack many qualities in their frontline, as Lionel Messi cannot singlehandedly do all the works. And, that's why the Manchester city's former striker is indeed an ideal central-forward to transform their attacking.

Although, the Netherlands manager don't usually play with using a standard No.9, as he prefers playing from the wing sides. However, Agüero would be really useful and have impact on the squad all round performance, because he will add these two things below to the Blaugranas frontline.

Here are the 2 things:

1. Finishing

With the Argentine presence in the squad next season, Barcelona wouldn't have to depend on Messi's all the time because no player can utilize chances like him. Meanwhile, Sergio Agüero has a high level of finishing, having seen his performances in Premier League, so the Catalans frontline would be kind of dangerous in 2021-2022, because it would be Messi+Agüero connection. The Argentina international knows how to position himself, and these are things the likes of Griezmann Braithwaite and Dembele don't have. Thus, with him in the attacking line next campaign, Barcelona would be something else in the front.

2. Aggressiveness

The Ronald Koeman's men are too soft in the front, having watched their performances against Granada in LaLiga and against PSG in Champions League. No player is aggressive enough to disturb the opponent's defenders, only the captain can use his skills and stunts to frustrate the oppositions. Sergio is a striker like Romelu Lukaku, who possess the power and ability to tear down any defense line in Europe top-5 leagues, with his aggressiveness. So, another thing the Pep Guardiola's man would add to the Koeman's frontline, is the ability to frustrate and pester the players from the other team.
