How Marc Guehi is demonstrating to Tuchel that he should never have let him leave Chelsea.

Marc Guehi, who currently plays for Crystal Palace, is one of the players that left Chelsea this summer in the transfer window, after he turned down a chance to extend his stay with Chelsea in hopes of finding regular playing time.

Last season, he had a loan spell with Swansea City, where he played over 40 games and was so impressive for Steve Cooper's men that even though they lost the play-off against Brentford, Marc Guehi was one of the best defenders for Swansea City.

Because of his impressive display last season, several clubs came calling, including Southampton, West Ham, Bayern Leverkusen, as well as some other top clubs.

Chelsea needed a back-up defender and kept up their pursuit of Kounde. However, they failed to convince Marc Guehi to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge and eventually sold him to Crystal Palace, where he is assured of regular playing time like he had while at Swansea last season.

Today, Marc Guehi showed why Chelsea would have done all in their power to convince him to stay and fight for a place in Thomas Tuchel's squad with another impressive performance against Tottenham.

He was so superb in defense for Crystal Palace today that he had an almost perfect defensive record today against Tottenham Hotspur.

His tackles were superb and he won more than 90% of his duels against his opponents, with 3 successful tackles out of 3 attempt.

In the end, they were rewarded with a three-point win against Tottenham. Aside from that, he was also handy as Crystal Palace kept a clean sheet against highly rated Tottenham.

Do you think Thomas Tuchel should have done more to convince Marc Guehi to stay at least one more season with Chelsea?
