Four players scored hattricks in their club's fixtures this weekend. Three players from the Premier League and one in Serie A. Here are the four players:
1. Mason Mount - Chelsea
Mount, 22, has been in excellent form since his promotion to the first team in 2017. He scored hattricks during loan spells at Vitesse and Derby County and made it three in his career in Chelsea's 7-0 win over Norwich.
The attacking midfielder's three goals against Norwich were his first goals of the season, having gone ten games without scoring. An early 8th-minute goal assisted by Jorginho, followed by a retaken 85th-minute penalty, and a 91st-minute late goal made up Mount's hattrick.
2. Joshua King - Watford
King had also not scored any goal this season before his hattrick. Amazingly, his three goals were against his former club Everton, where he spent five months before joining Watford in July.
Watford's 5-2 away win at Goodison Park was an upset, as the odds were totally in Everton's favor. The 29-year-old Norwegian striker scored an equalizer in the 13th minute before scoring Watford's third and fourth goal in the 80th and 86th minutes to grab a much-needed win for his club.
3. Giovanni Simeone - Verona
Simeone is the highest goalscoring player this weekend, as he scored four goals for Verona. The 26-year-old Argentine striker is the first son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
Simeone joined Verona on loan from Cagliari in August. He had scored two goals in 7 Serie A games for Verona before scoring all four goals in their 4-1 win over Lazio. His four goals were in the 30th, 36th, 62nd, and 92nd minutes as he helped Verona secure all three points.
4. Mohammed Salah - Liverpool
Salah's performance against Manchester United meant that he now has 15 goals and five assists in 12 games in all competitions for Liverpool this season. The Egyptian right-winger is simply unstoppable.
He was involved in four of Liverpool's five goals in their 5-0 win at Old Trafford, scoring three and assisting one. The 29-year-old scored Liverpool's third, fourth, and fifth goals to make him the first opposition player to ever score a hattrick in Old Trafford in the Premier League.
Whose hattrick do you think is the most impressive?
