Zlatan was born in 1981 in Malmo, Sweden, to a Muslim Bosnian father Sefik Ibrahimovic, and a Croatian mother Jurka Gravic. Zlatan had a troubled childhood experience as he witness his parent's divorce. According to Swedish divorce laws, Zlatan's mother took custody of her son, and this was what Zlatan termed as " A difficult childhood experience ", as he found it difficult watching a new stepfather come into his life.
