Arsenal got back to winning ways after four defeats in all competitions, since their last win against Tottenham on March 14th 2021, it was an emphatic 3-0 victory over Sheffield United at the Bramall lane on Sunday night, Alexandre Lacazette's brace and a Gabriel Martinelli's goal did the damage for Sheffield.
It was Lacazette's 15th goal of the season, and 13 premier league goals so far this season with ten of them coming away from home, interestingly his last six goals have all come when Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has not been on the pitch.
The Arsenal striker is now the Eight French man to score 50 premier league goals for a single club, with five of the six Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Oliver Giroud, Nicolas Anelka and Alexandre Lacazette doing so for Arsenal. While Eric Cantona, Louis Saha and Anthony Martial did it for other English clubs.
The French man scored a beautiful goal with the assist from Dani Ceballos, as he celebrated kicking the flag at the corner side a little, the win took Arsenal to 9th place in the league with 45 points from 31 matches.
The two goals will definitely add some confidence to Lacazette ahead of the crucial second leg game against Slavia Praque, in the Europa League quarter final on Thursday. As Arsenal hope to have Aubameyang back for the all important game.
