Liverpool equal a personal record set in 1982 and two other things that happened last night

Liverpool is arguably one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. The Reds are in excellent form both in the Domestic league game and the Champions League. Liverpool are second in the EPL with just 3 points separating them and Chelsea.

However, they have been in superb form in the Champions league. The Reds defeated Atletico Madrid by 2 goals to nothing to make it 4 wins in 4 games. Two First half goals from Jota and Sadio Mane ensured Liverpool qualified as group leaders in the UCL. Here are three things that happened in the win against Atletico Madrid.

1) Liverpool are now unbeaten in their last 25 games. They have now equaled a record set in 1982 where they also played 25 consecutive games without losing. Liverpool won 18 of those games and drew the other 7.

2) Sadio Mane scored his 23rd European goal for Liverpool making him the 3rd highest goal scorer for the club in the history of the competition. Only Gerard and Salah has more.

3) Jurgen Klopp recorded his 200th win as a Liverpool manager in his 334th game in charge of the Reds. He is now the 5th manager in the history of the club to reach that landmark.
