Chelsea football club of England defender, Antonio Rudiger was in action on Friday night for Germany in their 7th game of the Group J FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Romania at the Volksparkstadion.
The prolific defender was handed a role to play in his team's starting XI following his outstanding performance for the team in their previous game and he was able to impress.
Antonio Rudiger was strong defensively as he was at the heart of the back line with his great influx of delivery in the whole 90 minutes duration of the game, which was instrumental in their deserved two goals to one comeback win which placed them at the top of the table.
The host trailed from behind after conceding a goal in the 9th minute courtesy of an opener from Ianis Hagi to make it one nil at the break.
The Hansi Flick's side stepped up their game in the second half as they put up some physical, tactical and technical displays and as such got an equaliser in the 52nd minute with a goal from Serge Gnabry to make it 1-1 before Thomas Mueller put his side ahead in the 81st minute to make it two goals to one.
After several attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all proved abortive as it ended two goals to one at full time.
After the game, Antonio Rudiger reacted with a post via his verified Instagram handle to show his excitement for the deserved comeback win which gave them an important step towards the FIFA 2022 World Cup.￼
After the post, Super Eagles of Nigeria midfield maestro Ogenyi Onazi has reacted to the post with the caption "Rudiger you don join kung Fu class? Take am easy oh 😂🤣😂 bruder..." while other fans commented.
The win for Germany has now taken them to the top of the Group J table with 18 points in 7 games played and as such be hoping to keep the winning streaks going in their next fixture.
