Manchester United are still pushing ahead to strengthen their team more despite securing the services of quality players like Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window.
Despite signing all these players, Manchester United are also in for a new midfielder, with Paul Pogba's future uncertain at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have mentioned several names to replace the Frenchman, but the latest that is being mentioned is Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
Goretzka who joined the Bundesliga giants in the summer of 2018 currently has extended his contract with Bayern Munich to 2026, but yet he's been linked with a move away from the club.
Manchester United is keen on getting their hands on a midfielder like Goretzka as they seek to revamp their midfield. That position remains the most important place to strengthen in the next transfer window, and Manchester United are now working on bringing capable feet.
Even if Pogba stays, Manchester United still wants to sign Goretzka to partner the France international in the middle of the park. While speaking about the clubs that want him, Goretzka said. "It's an exciting thing when other clubs recognize what you've done.
"I talked a lot about it with Kimmich. We actually had a vision from the start, our work in Bayern isn't finished yet, big things are still expecting us." He said.
