Skeikh Mansour, Mancity owner will cover the costs of the official fans' trip to the champions league final in Portugal.
After the government put turkey on their red list and urged fans not to attend, the match which was originally scheduled for the Artatuk stadium in Istanbul was now moved to Porto. UEFA's efforts to move the match to Wembley proved futile because the UK Government did not yield to the opinion of waiving quarantine rules for the 2000 staff, VIPs, sponsors and foreign media.
When asked about the initiative, Sheikh said that it is greatly important that as many fans as possible attend the finals, especially those who has been with the club through the good and bad times for many years, He further stated that Pep and the team has had an amazing season and reaching the finals after a very tedious and challenging year is a really historic moment for the club.
In support of the initiative, khaldoon Al Mubarak, Man city's chairman said that multiple challenges are being faced by the supporters ahead of this finals, both financially and in logistical terms. And so the initiative will grant most of the attending fans focus on enjoying the match since the burdens of travel cost has been removed
