Chelsea football club were undoubtedly one of the few busy Premier League clubs during the just concluded summer transfer window.
The North London club are keen on lifting more major trophies under the management of Thomas Tuchel and have added the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to bolster their squad.
However, that has quite worked out to plan as Chelsea are currently on top of the Premier League table after taking 19 points from their first eight matches of the league season.
And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea are preparing to offer young attacking midfielder Mason Mount a new contract to keep him at the club for the long term.
The 22-year-old England International, who has been at Chelsea since 2005 has been a phenomenal part of the first-team squad over the last seasons.
The young attacking midfielder was quite impressive for Chelsea in the 2020/2021 season where he scored nine goals and recorded nine assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.
Despite having trouble with injuries this season, Mason Mount has made nine appearances so far and has recorded one assist, helping Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table.
It is believed that Chelsea are impressed with Mason Mount's performances in midfield and according to reports from Daily Mail, Chelsea are now willing to reward him with a new contract as soon as possible.
Even though the young attacking midfielder still has three more years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are keen on securing his future and are now aiming to offer him a bumper contract extension.
That said, Mason Mount is now expected to continue his career at his boyhood club as they aim to win more prestigious trophies together under manager Thomas Tuchel.
