Apoel FC's contract with Francis Uzoho has been canceled.

Both parties have mutually agreed to part ways, according to the Cypriot First Division club.

Despite having two years left on his present deal, the Super Eagles goalie will now pursue a career abroad.

After finishing his loan spell at AC Omonia, the 22-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Legend in July 2020 for an undisclosed sum.

Uzoho played in 18 league games for Sofronis Avgousti's side during the 2020/2021 season, finishing third on the log.

Uzoho's contract was terminated without explanation.

“Apoel Football (public) Limited is pleased to announce the completion of its collaboration with goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.

A statement on the club's website read, "We wish Francis the best of luck."

Uzoho is now with the Nigerian national team ahead of their Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde in 2022.
