Lampard Happy to Have Fans Back in the Stadium by next season. This is What He Has to Say

According to the recent report, the UK government has revealed plans to allow football supporters back into stadiums, as the next phase of the gradual relief of the pandemic-induced lockdown begins.

Prime minister Boris Johnson announced on Friday that prosecutions would commence, to see larger assemblies in places like sports stadiums, while adding that most remaining recreation centers would be allowed to stay open until August 1.

The Premier League has had to go on without fans in the stadium, but Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is pleased that the fans could return to the stadium next campaign.

The Chelsea boss said: “I’m very delighted to welcome our fans back. It’s not just our fans – all of us in the country have been craving supporters to be back at games for the atmosphere and for what it means to the game here, as long as it’s done in the right way with the right safeguards.

“From being within the game, I think football has made some really good steps in tough conditions over the last few months and hopefully we keep making advanced efforts and we get our supporters back in the stadiums.”
