Cape Verde hosted the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a World Cup Qualifiers game today. The match, which kicked off at exactly 5 pm, ended in favour of Nigeria with a 2-0 win. The match was played in front of a very appreciative crowd that supported both teams. The Super Eagles were able to be on top of their game due to the way their coach had trained and briefed them.

Moments after the match, Nigerian citizens and supporters were seen outside the stadium celebrating having earned another three points in group C of the World Cup Qualifiers. See pictures below.

Nigeria's first World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde Island was played at Municipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo. In today's game with Cape Verde, Ahmed Musa was among the XI while Okoye, Collins, Omeruo, Simon, and many more started the game. However, the 8th match of the Super Eagles will be against Egypt's national football team before playing their last matches against Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
