Chelsea is set to be without four of their first-team stars when they face off Juventus in the second fixtures of the 2021/22 UCL group stages. This development was further confirmed today by Tuchel in a press conference before tomorrow's clash.
1. N'golo Kante
The French Midfielder was an integral part of Chelsea's Champions League success last season. Guiding them to the finals where they beat Man City with a 1-0 win to claim the prestigious title for the second time in their history.
Kante won three back-to-back men of the match award in the process and was regarded as the best Midfielder of the UCL season by many. He also helped the Blues win the Super Cup title and has been a major help as usual in Chelsea's PL campaign so far this season.
Unfortunately, the Veteran Midfielder has tested for Covid and has been put aside for the match against former Serie A champions Juventus as well as Chelsea's next PL game against Southampton next weekend.
2. Reece James
Another important player in Tuchel's squad and sadly he is out due to injuries sustained in Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Man City on Saturday. Reece James is known for his outside-the-box crosses and square plays which have seen Chelsea become a potent threat from the wings.
Pulisic was at a time, a sensation in Stamford Bridge especially under Frank Lampard. The American made history when Chelsea won the Uefa Champions League and Super Cup titles, but have been unavailable for Chelsea since the dawn of this season.
Pulisic picked up an ankle injury whilst on international duty for the United States National team in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and has since not recovered full enough to make a return to training.
4. Mason Mount
Chelsea's Attacking youngster picked up a minor injury during their EFL game against Aston Villa and Tuchel has confirmed the England International to not feature for the team when they come up against Juventus 8:00 pm at the Allianz arena.
