Transfer: Done deal; Chelsea and Arsenal set to miss out on Alvarez; Man Utd eye move for Diaby

Done deal: Everton trigger Abdoulaye Doucoure's one year extension

Everton have reportedly triggered the one-year extension in Abdoulaye Doucoure's contract as they bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season. The news comes after he opened up regarding his contract status and why he has not penned a new deal to remain at Goodison Park.

Chelsea and Arsenal set to miss out on Alvarez

Chelsea and Arsenal could both miss out on Ajax utility man Edson Alvarez, with Borussia Dortmund in pole position to sign the Mexican this summer. That's according to 90min, who report that the player was 'determined' to join Chelsea when they came calling last year. Alvarez has stepped up another notch this season, starting 29 of Ajax's 33 Eredivisie matches, although what looks to be a third-place finish in the league will hardly help the Dutch giants' prospects of keeping the 25-year-old in Amsterdam.

Man Utd eye Diaby

Man Utd are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby. According to Sky in Germany, the Red Devils are monitoring his situation and could potentially swoop for his services. Diaby has previously been linked with a move to Newcastle. It is suggested that Leverkusen would emand around £80m for his services.
