Today's loss means Chelsea failed to extend their lead in the top four race as they are now two points behind West Ham United.
The blues are in a fierce battle for a Champions League top-four spots against other Premier League rivals who are all in contention for a top-four finish. Chelsea is now 2 points ahead of West Ham United and maintains a decent lead ahead of Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal.
