“There Were No Doubts, I Knew I Was Going To Perform”- Haaland Reacts After Winning FWA Award

Erling Haaland has been the best performer this season after scoring 36 goals and registering 8 assists so far in the English Premier League. He has won several Player of the Month awards, but his most recent achievement was winning the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year Award.

Recall that last year's winner was Mohamad Salah, but Manchester City's young striker Erling Haaland has won this year's edition, but what is more impressive is doing it in his debut season in the English Premier League. However, the 22-year-old striker reacted after winning this season's Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year Award by noting that he knew he was going to perform.

In an interview that surfaced online, Erling Haaland reacted by saying, “There were no doubts [coming to Manchester City]. I knew I was going to perform, I knew I was going to play in a good team. I did not expect this good to be honest, but I still expected to score. Last Year Manchester City scored 100 goals, so for me to come into this team and score was expected.”

On the other hand, note that Manchester City scored 99 English Premier League goals last season, so it is not a surprise that Erling Haaland scored so many goals this season.
