Riqui Puig becomes youngest Barca player to provide two assists in a single La Liga game

The Spaniard set up two goals against Alaves the last time out.

Riqui Puig has become the youngest Barcelona player to record two assists to his name in a single La Liga game.

The midfielder set up the goals for Lionel Messi and Nelson Semedo during Barca's final La Liga game of the season versus Alaves.

As at the time he reached that feat, the Spaniard was 20 years and 341 days old.

Puig is enjoying a decent campaign. He's made 12 appearances for Barca's senior team this season.

Barca director Amor raves about Riqui Puig

The La Masia product recorded his first two assists for the senior team vs Alaves.

Guillermo Amor lavished praise at Puig for the solid performance.

"It was important to end up winning. The image and confidence had to be recovered," Barcelona director Guillermo Amor following the La Liga win over Alaves.

The official went on to single out the player that impressed him the most: We must highlight the entire team in general, but Riqui Puig has had a great game.

The 5-0 win was arguably the 20-year-old's best performance for Barcelona so far. He has even got to assist two of Barca's goals, one going to Leo Messi and one to Nelson Semedo. These have been his first assists for the senior team.
